Blending action and survival horror, Resident Evil 6 promises to be the dramatic horror experience of 2013. Resident Evil favorites Leon S. Kennedy, Chris Redfield and Ada Wong are joined by new characters, including Jake Muller, to face a new horror, the highly virulent C-virus, as the narrative moves between North America, the war-torn Eastern European state of Edonia and the Chinese city of Lanshiang.
Starting with three distinct, yet interwoven story threads, each with their own pair of protagonists for either solo or co-op play, both offline and online, not only will Resident Evil 6 deliver both different perspectives and gameplay styles but, with the introduction of the innovative Crossover mechanic players will be able to team up and share the horror. At key moments during the game, up to four players can join together online to tackle a specific situation, with some stages seeing the usual partnerships swapped to further increase the depth of gameplay.
Once players have completed the initial three campaigns they will unlock an all new campaign featuring Resident Evil’s very own femme fatale, Ada Wong. A single player experience, Ada’s campaign features unique missions, gameplay and weapons which will provide answers to the unanswered questions from the first three campaigns.

This game is… well, it’s really bad, and the story doesn’t make any sense, and it’s really confusing if this added anything to the canon, and for some reason is still the highest grossing RE game in the franchise. I was never going to play more than 30 minutes of this game, nor was I going to sit through playthroughs (though I did try to do both).

I played through the game recently with my friend. We had no idea what was going on. This story is ungodly levels of bad. Why in god's name would Jake be mad at Chris for killing Wesker? He himself acknowledged earlier that Wesker was a maniac who tried to destroy the world. I don't understand why he'd be angry at someone for killing him. Such utterly retarded writing.

That scene where Chris n Leon draw gun n almost killed each other over Ada Wong was one of the best thing ever happened in RE universe. I was fan orgasmed watching that whole scene played out. Until u played Ada Wong whole campaign u don't know what is Ada Wong is really doing. One scene she is with Leon n saving the world n other scene she is with Chris try to destroying the world. When they both draw guns! Over try to kill or save Ada Wong was remarkable job by Capcom n there story tellers. It shows how much love n thinking they put into making this game.
This game is pre marvel n DC cross over. This game did the best for making a cross over for there all characters. I love this game so much

This was one of the worst games that I’ve ever played in my life. True story – It was so bad that it gave my PS3 the yellow light of death when I decided to give the game a second chance. It was hard to follow along but I’m glad someone finally explained this abomination to me… Thank you.

I actually the game and its story a lot. I know that's not the popular opinion, but I found it to be pretty engaging and while there are few nitpicks to be had like Leon getting through Chris and making him let go of his grudge against "Ada," when Piers failed to do so. Jake and Sherry's campaign was probably my favorite campaign in-terms of the gameplay and individual plotline, because it felt the most balanced out of all of the game and I thought it was the heart of the game in a way. Chris's campaign/story is my second favorite, mostly because I thought it was the most fun out of the four campaigns in terms of gameplay, because it was so action-packed. It's also like the second most important story in the game behind Jake and Sherry's.
Leon's campaign is good, but it kind of feels disconnected from the two main campaigns, like the first half of his campaign takes place in America while Chris and Jake's campaign start off in Edonia and his campaign exclusively features zombies while theirs feature exclusively J'avo. It also doesn't share the same villain as those two, like Simmons is really only Leon and Ada's villain and Leon and Helena have less personal stake in the whole thing; like they're just really after Simmons and that's it. Ada's campaign/story of course is the one that ties all of the other ones together since it's in hers that we're given in-sight on the villains's motivation and what's actually going on, but it's probably my least favorite since it's very short and there isn't much to it besides showing the villains's backstories.
That's my little mini-written review of this game, I'm not sure if anyone will agree with what I've said but I wanted to give my thoughts of this game and its story since it usually hated on by Resident Evil fans and gamers in general.
